Hi folks! Well, as you may well know, 2nd March saw the launch of our two latest titles, the anthology Where Are We Going? edited by Allen Ashley and the collection A Glimpse of the Numinous by Jeff Gardiner. It was a great event all round – a lively and packed evening in a wonderful venue – and our stock of Where Are We Going? sold out completely. Allen Ashley reports:
The book was launched as part of a British Fantasy Society Open Night at The Mug House in London Bridge on the evening of 2 March 2012 and the venue was absolutely packed. Rather than standing room only, it was breathing room only! As a special event on the night, Allen ran a “Write a Postcard” competition which was won by Martin Roberts, with John Forth and Tina Rath the runners-up. We hope to have several of the entries up on the website and blog very soon.
Lots of “Where Are We Going?” contributors turned up on the night – Allen Ashley, David Rix, Joel Lane, Douglas Thompson, Jet McDonald, Marion Pitman, Terry Grimwood, Andy Kirby and Gary Budgen. Allen organised everyone into signing the books and at the end of the evening we were rewarded with the fact of having completely sold out all available copies of the anthology in both hardback and paperback. A phenomenal achievement.
Our thanks to Martin and Helen at the BFS and also to Nicola Budd and Jo Fletcher from Quercus Books, with whom we shared the event.
